SYMPTOMS
- Air bubbles observed flowing toward waste (accumulator side only)
- Low system pressure
- Pump head and seal wash housing recently replaced
- Seal wash tubing between pump heads has no air bubbles
- Seal wash pump operating correctly
ENVIRONMENT
- Alliance HPLC System
- 2695 Separations Module
- 2695D Dissolution Separations Module
- 2795 Separations Module
CAUSE
Seal wash is being siphoned into waste receptacle.
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Trim the seal wash tubing so it does not become submerged below the highest waste level.
