SYMPTOMS

• Low area results from five specific vial positions
• Changed around vials and low area issue is still present at same vial positions

ENVIRONMENT

• Alliance 2695
• 2489 UV detector

CAUSE

Use of third-party vials and pre-slit caps instead of Waters vials and caps

FIX or WORKAROUND

Change vials to Waters brand vials and pre-slit caps. (In this instance, area %RSD fell within acceptable range.)
