SYMPTOMS
- Peak area varies from injection to injection, high % RSD, poor reproducibility.
- Peak shape inconsistent at apex
- Lower than usual sensitivity
ENVIRONMENT
- 2424 ELS Detector
- ACQUITY UPLC ELS Detector
CAUSE
Nebulizer is going bad, giving poor spray.
FIX or WORKAROUND
If cleaning (WKB77718) the nebulizer is unsuccessful replace the 2424 nebulizer (205001124 - Standard High-Flow) or ACQUITY ELSD nebulizer (205000342).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
If the system is qualified, replacement of the nebulizer requires ELSD requalification of the detector tests.
