ANSWER
The latest firmware for the QDa is revision V (as of April 16, 2019). You need not downgrade firmware revision V on the QDa. The QDa will work with Waters ACQUITY QDa ICS Version 1.54 at a minimum.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Note that the release of firmware revision V adds support for a new embedded PC (EPC) on the detector control card (DCC).
This firmware is supported on both the old and the new DCC, but a minimum of ICS 1.54 must be installed on the instrument before you can install revision V firmware.
