- 2489 "Instrument Failure" error in the Run Samples window
- Computer and instrument restart does not solve the issue
- Lamp on the 2489 can be controlled
- 2489 says YES in the "OK?" column on the Instruments tab in Empower Node Properties
- Removal of the 2489 IP address and a reboot does not solve the issue
- New instrument method does not solve the issue

CAUSE
Possibly corrupt 2489 ICS
FIX or WORKAROUND
Reinstall 2489 ICS v1.31 from the original (Waters Driver Pack 4) installation or current version.
