Pressure drops and intermittent A-channel flow on ACQUITY H-Class Quaternary Solvent Manager (QSM) - WKB62129
Article number: 62129
SYMPTOMS
- Pressure drops of approximately 1500 psi
- Intermittent flow on channel A even when priming, but all other channels are fine
ENVIRONMENT
- ACQUITY H-Class Quaternary Solvent Manager (QSM)
CAUSE
Debris or precipitation in A-channel degasser and/or GPV
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Remove the channel A sinker from the mobile phase.
- Remove lines from the channel-A degasser and GPV.
- Back flush lines, degasser, and GPV (ensure that GPV is open; QSM must be powered-on and solvent A selected).
- When all lines are flowing clear, reconnect, prime, and ensure that prime flow is constant and steady.
- Run the pump leak test to ensure that no other leaks were created during disassembly or reassembly.
