ACQUITY UPLC Solvent Manager primary pump head is not priming properly - WKB60372

SYMPTOMS

• UPLC solvent manager doesn't prime properly and produces irregular pressure traces for both the primary and accumulator pump heads
• Changing of mobile phase doesn't resolve the issue

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC Solvent Managers with i2V check valves
• ACQUITY BSM PLUS

CAUSE

I2V check valve not performing as expected causing the accumulator to not prime either.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Replace I2V check valve:
   1. QSM/BSM - 700005165 (1 pk) , 700003563 (2 pk)
   2. QSM Bio - 700005414
   3. ISM (APC) - 700005272 
   4. BSM plus Dual Ball and Seat (# 700003755) , Primary Check Valve (# 700002596)
