System overpressure error with 2695/ 2996 system - WKB60107

SYMPTOMS

• 2695 shows a system overpressure error using a low flow rate without column
• The inline filter is clean            

ENVIRONMENT

• 2695 Separations Module
• 2996 PDA Detector
• 996 PDA Detector

CAUSE

The PDA detector flow cell is blocked.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Replace the column with a dead volume.
2. Purge the pump with fresh water.
3. Set the column temperature to 50 ºC.
4. Connect the column outlet tube in the flow cell OUT position.
5. Leave the IN position free.
6. Start to flush the system with water, increasing the flow rate without passing 1000 psi.
7. Continue flushing the system with water until the pressure drops.
