Wash syringe home h/w fault on ACQUITY I-Class SM-FL - WKB60070

SYMPTOMS

• Wash syringe home h/w lost steps error and Wash syringe home h/w fault
• Occur during wash step after injection

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY I-Class Sample Manager - Fixed Loop
• ACQUITY I-Class Sample Manager - Fixed Loop PLUS

CAUSE

The strong wash step setting is too high. Total wash volume (strong wash + weak wash) is greater than 2500 µL (maximum volume of syringe).

Any lost motor step during a drive greater than 2500 µL will cause the system to error (see attached image).

FIX or WORKAROUND

Reduce the wash volume for strong or weak wash so that the combined volume is less than 2500 µL.
