Leak out of in-line filter assembly (nanoACQUITY BSM) - WKB58519

SYMPTOMS

• Higher-than-normal consumption of solvent.
• Pre-sensor value during Set Pressure Diagnostic is very high (over 0.5 uL/min).
• Visible leak out of filter assembly.

ENVIRONMENT

nanoACQUITY UPLC BSM

CAUSE

Loose or faulty filter assembly.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. First try tightening the parts of the filter assembly together.
2. If tightening of assembly does not resolve the issue, replace the filter assembly (289002111).
3. Verify that BSM passed Set Pressure Diagnostics with expected values of pre-sensor and post-sensor flow values.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Because during PM, filter assembly is opened to replace the insert, with time, it becomes loose and starts leaking.
