SYMPTOMS

• "Leak detected" error with ACQUITY solvent manager.
• Waste container is empty and there is no air trapped in waste line.

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower
• ACQUITY UPLC BSM

CAUSE

Blockage in the BSM waste drain due to buffer precipitation.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Remove leak sensor and pour hot water into the BSM drain to remove buffer/residue.

2. Replace leak sensor and prime BSM to confirm that the issue is resolved.
