How to set the TUV lamp serial number in the ACQUITY console - WKB5440

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Set the TUV lamp serial number in the ACQUITY Console software.

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY TUV. ACQUITY Console.

PROCEDURE

1. Replace the lamp as described in the ACQUITY UPLC TUV Overview and Maintenance Guide.
2. Power-on the detector, and then wait about 30 minutes for the lamp to warm before resuming operations.

Tip: Cycling power to the detector (that is, powering-off and then powering-on the instrument) initiates the verification procedures. Result: The lamp’s serial number and installation date are automatically entered into the Lamp Change Record table.
Alternatively: In the ACQUITY console, select Maintain > Change Lamp. Click New Lamp. Type the serial number for the new lamp, and then click OK. The counter automatically resets to 0 hours of lamp life. You cannot manually reset the counter to 0 hours.
