ACQUITY Dynamic Leak Test fails on solvent manager pump head- WKB5338

SYMPTOMS

• Dynamic Leak Test fails on accumulator or primary pump
• May be etching visible on seal wash housing.

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC
• ACQUITY UPLC I-Class
• ACQUITY UPLC H-Class

CAUSE

Small leak (not visible) at compression fittings causing leak test to fail.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Rebuild the pump with a new head (700002595), seal wash housing (700002597) and seals (Pump rebuild kits in WKB5426).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Leak could also be due to over tightening compression fittings or damaged port on Pressure transducer (700002594).
