CAUSE

The solvent reservoir filter is blocked, causing pump cavitation during flow.

Not enough back pressure is being applied.

Leaking primary check valve and/or high-pressure plunger seal and/or face seal

Leaking fitting between the primary outlet and the inlet to the check valve cartridge

FIX or WORKAROUND

Replace the solvent reservoir filter (WAT025531).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Note: A column or restriction needs to be used to help remove dissolved air; help the action of the check valves; and help the plunger seals to flex and seal correctly on the plunger. Perform a static leak test.
