Non-English Windows OS regional setting causes higher injection volume in ACQUITY UPLC Sample Manager - WKB52717

SYMPTOMS

• With ACQUITY Sample Manager on partial loop setting, when you select 5 µL, it injects 50 µL instead

ENVIRONMENT

• Analyst 1.6.2
• Driver Pack 4 SR1
• ACQUITY UPLC Sample Manager 

CAUSE

Regional settings are using a comma as decimal indicator.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Change the regional settings to English (United States). In Windows OS, navigate to Control Panel > Clock, Language, and Region.
2. In the Formats tab, set format to 'English (United States)' in the drop down.
3. Click the "Additional settings..." button.
4. In the Numbers tab, set "Decimal symbol" to a decimal point.
5. Change "List separator" to a comma.
6. Apply > OK.
