Primary pump fails to compress during BSM dynamic leak test - WKB52648

SYMPTOMS

• Accumulator passes leak test
• Primary pump fails to compress at 12000 psi; cannot complete the dynamic leak test
• Flow pulses when priming

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC BSM

CAUSE

A blocked in-line filter starves the primary check valve (passive).

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Replace the in-line filter part number 700002912 (ASSY, FILTER, IN-LINE, SS FRIT).
2. Prime the pump for two minutes.
3. Rerun the dynamic leak test.
