ACQUITY UPLC Solvent Manager: Dynamic leak test fails - wkb51795

SYMPTOMS

• Dynamic leak test fails with leak rate above acceptable limit
• Unable to compress

CAUSE

Pump head seals failure. 

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Replace seals in the failing pump head
2. Pressurize the pump seals for at least 15 minutes to a pressure close to the test pressure (>10 000 psi)
3. Confirm Dynamic leak test is now passing

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

If the ACQUITY UPLC Quaternary or Binary Solvent Manager seal wash housing (see part locator for finding the part number according to module type) shows signs of etching or rust might need to be replaced along with the pump head.
