Shifting retention times on ACQUITY - WKB49914

SYMPTOMS

• Shifting/unstable retention times in chromatographic run
• During dynamic leak test, primary/accumulator pump A or B  unable to compress
• Dynamic leak test fails with too high leak rate on primary/accumulator pump A or B

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC I-Class BSM
• ACQUITY UPLC H-Class BSM
• ACQUITY UPLC BSM
• ACQUITY APC Isocratic Solvent Manager
• ACQUITY PREMIER BSM

CAUSE

Leaking pump

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Rebuild failing pumphead on pump A or B
   • Primary Rebuild kit (Part number 700010583), for the Premier BSM use Primary Pumphead Rebuild Kit (700010581)
   • Accumulator Rebuild kit (Part number 700010584), for the Premier BSM use Accumulator Pumphead Rebuild Kit (700010582)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Primary pump head or seal wash plate to be considered if replacement seals fail. (WKB20628)
