Error on 2695: Parameter range error - WKB4962

SYMPTOMS

• Error message on 2695 display: "Parameter range error"
• Error message on 2487 display: "System cannot respond"
•  "Parameter range error" occurs on the Alliance upon setting up an instrument method within empower

ENVIRONMENT

• Alliance 2695 (connected via IEEE/busLAC/E)
• 2487 detector
• 2996 PDA Detector
• Alliance 2795
• Empower
• LAC/E 32

CAUSE

Communication issue

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Clean all IEEE cables and re-plug them. Replace if necessary.
   • WAT087141 : 6.6 ft cable
   • WAT087191 : 13.1 ft cable

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Note: In certain cases one side of the IEEE connection may be bad. So rearranging cables in a different configuration may solve the issue.
