SYMPTOMS

• Lower than expected response from injections

• ACQUITY UPLC Sample Manager - Flow Through Needle (FTN)
• ACQUITY UPLC Sample Manager - Fixed Loop (FL)
• XEVO
• SYNAPT
• MS

CAUSE

The purge line is dry, so the sample syringe has air in its barrel, causing poor sample draw.

Or there is a small air bubble in the syringe.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Prime the sample purge line and make sure the line has no air bubbles in it.
