SYMPTOMS
- Communication failure messages in the ACQUITY console for all modules
- Communication failure messages in the Empower Run Samples window (if using Empower)
- Pinging instrument IP address shows "connection lost" just before "Instrument failure"
- Windows system log shows error message "Miniport Intel(R) Gigabit CT Desktop Adapter, {905D15B6-ECA9-412E-8643-47C944249737}, had event Fatal error: The miniport has detected an internal error"

CAUSE
The Network Interface Card (NIC) on the computer used to connect to the ACQUITY system is not working correctly.
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Replace the NIC on the computer
- Verify proper instrument communication
