No baseline with 2475 Fluorescence detector - WKB3192

SYMPTOMS

• Low lamp hours
• Failed to Normalize, gives error peak location not near 397 nm. Is there water in cell? Values not saved (40100).

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY FLR
• 2475 detector (Fluorescence detector)

CAUSE

Detector saturated.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Run fresh HPLC-grade methanol through flowcell for 15 minutes.
2. Run fresh HPLC water through flowcell for 15 minutes.
3. Reboot the detector.
4. Perform manual wavelength calibration (Shift+3, also see manual).
5. Perform normalization per 2475 manual. If you have an ACQUITY FLR, see the following screen shot:
