SYMPTOMS

• Significant tailing on all peaks 
• Fresh mobile phase, wash solvents, column, and frits 

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC    

CAUSE

Void volume caused by incorrect tubing installation (incorrect ferrule depth or damaged ferrule)  

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Inspect all tubing and fitting connections from the pump to the detector.
2. Replace tubing or fittings that have damaged or incorrectly set ferrules.
