Communication error for PDA Detector only - WKB30462

SYMPTOMS

• Communication error for ACQUITY PDA 
• Other components in the ACQUITY system okay

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3
• ACQUITY UPLC PDA Detector
• 2998 Photodiode Array Detector

CAUSE

Timing issue between PDA and node

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Power-off the PDA.
2. Reboot the node that controls the PDA and let it initialize.
3. Power-on the PDA and let it initialize.
4. Reboot the node that controls the PDA, again, and let it initialize.
5. Open a Run Samples window for the system, and then open the ACQUITY console.
6. Reset the PDA via the console.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Note: Rebooting the node with the detector powered on and then resetting comms in the console may fix this issue.

Apply the same steps for the module affected if you see communication failure with any other module and not PDa
