ACQUITY UPLC instrument module no longer communicates with Empower - WKB29422

SYMPTOMS

• No instrument communications with Empower node.
• Device not recognized by DHCP.

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC Products (Ethernet Controlled Instrumentation)
• Empower

CAUSE

Corrupt Instrument Control Software (ICS).

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Reload the existing version of the instrument modules ICS to resolve the communication issue.
   • Ensure that the device is recognized by Waters DHCP Configuration.
   • Ensure that the instrument is visible in the Empower Node and available in the Empower System.
