SYMPTOMS

• "Needle arm move H/W fault" error occurs at startup 
• Error persists after module reboot through bottom power switch

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC Sample Manager - Flow Through Needle (SM-FTN)

CAUSE

Unknown 

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Power off the Sample Manager and leave it without power for some time. Power it on again and verify that it initializes successfully. 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

In some cases, removing the power cord as well might help.
