SYMPTOMS
- Pressure fluctuates after being stable for more than an hour
- Flow not continuous
- Bubbles observed from the solvent outlet tube during prime
ENVIRONMENT
- ACQUITY Binary Solvent Manager (BSM)
CAUSE
Debris blocking the check valve.
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Sonicate the check valves in a beaker of 100% methanol or acetonitrile for 10-15 minutes.
