PROCEDURE

For ACQUITY UPLC Sample Manager - Flow Through Needle

  1. From the ACQUITY console, select Maintain > Calibrate needle Z axis.
  2. Open the sample manager door.
  3. Remove the sample plates and place a business card in the centre of sample tray holder position 1.
  4. Verify that the plates are removed and the business card is in place, and then click Next.
  5. When ready, click "Move needle". The needle moves to the initial position. When the needle is in position, click Next
  6. Move the needle down by clicking the down arrow.
  7. Use the Z button to drive the needle down to within 1 mm of the tray holder surface then switch the displacement increment to 0.1 mm and lower the needle until it just barely touches the business card.
  8. Select the "Needle is in position, almost touching the card" checkbox.
  9. To save the calibration, click Next.
  10. Click Save, and then Yes in the confirmation window.

1. Click Maintain > Calibrate needle Z axis.
2. In the Calibrate Needle Z Axis dialog box, click Start, and then click OK in the confirmation window.
3. Use the +Z button to drive the sample needle down to within 1 mm of the tray surface.
4. Switch the displacement increment to 0.1 mm, and lower the sample needle until it is almost touching the surface of the sample tray holder.
5. Click Save.
Result: The confirmation window appears.
6. Click Yes.
