Column heater 24V fault - WKB277351

SYMPTOMS

• Random column heater 24V fault on r-FTN after only a few hours of use at 25 °C

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3 Enterprise
• Arc HPLC System

CAUSE

Unknown

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Set the CHC temperature to 65 °C for 4 hours and the r-FTN to 4 °C.
2. Set the CHC temperature to 10 °C for 2 hours and the r-FTN to 4 °C.
3. Set the CHC temperature to 25 °C and monitor a few hours to see if the issue occurs again.
4. If the issue occurs again, you may need to replace the CHC Heater/Cooler engine (700009584).
