ACQUITY QDa Mass Detector turbopump timeout error - WKB263425

SYMPTOMS

• Turbopump timeout error on the MS console for the QDa
• Resetting the QDa through Control > Reset QDa in the MS Console does not resolve
• Cycling power on the QDa does not resolve
• FOUND: Roughing pump was powered-off manually
• FOUND: Powering-on the roughing pump manually, alone, does not resolve 

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY QDa Mass Detector

CAUSE

Roughing pump was powered-off.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Power-off the QDa.
2. Verify that the power switch for the roughing pump is in the correct position so that it will power-on.
3. Power-on the QDa.
4. Verify that the roughing pump turns on when the QDa is powered-on.
