Seal wash pump does not prime after solvent line goes dry - WKB262106

SYMPTOMS

• Seal wash solvent runs out or drops below level of the line in the solvent bottle
• Priming seal wash pump does not draw solvent from the bottle

ENVIRONMENT

• Waters 2545 Binary Gradient Manager (BGM)

CAUSE

Seal wash pump is unable to draw air and solvent through the lines.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Fill the seal wash solvent bottle with the appropriate seal wash solvent.
2. Disconnect the seal wash solvent line from the top of the seal wash pump.
3. Draw solvent into the seal wash solvent line using a syringe.
4. Reconnect the seal wash solvent line to the top of the seal wash pump.
5. Prime the seal wash pump.
