OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Load firmware manually via "Loader.exe".

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3
• MassLynx

PROCEDURE

1. Find and open the "loader.exe" file located in the firmware folder.
   • Masslynx: C:\Program Files (x86)\Waters Instruments\Firmware
   • Empower: C:\Empower\Waters Instruments\Firmware

2. Select the "Scan for instruments" check box.

3. Locate the instrument for which you want to manually change the firmware (or CPU2000 when blank).

4. Browse for the specific .sft file you want to load.

5. Select Load and wait for it to complete; do not power cycle the module until directed to do so.
