SYMPTOMS

• Sawtooth pressure traces observed in console

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC BSM

CAUSE

BSM was insufficiently primed prior to customer method.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Prime each line for at least five minutes to refresh the solvent in pump and remove any air from the solvent lines.
2. Ensure that there is adequate solvent volume in the solvent reservoirs and that the sinkers are at the bottom of the bottles.
