"Plate missing" error appears when trying to run a sample set in Empower 3 - WKB25153

SYMPTOMS

• The plate in position 1 of the sample manager is recognized but the plate in position 2 is not
• The sample set begins and runs until it gets to the first vial in plate position 2
• At that point in the sequence, the run fails and the "plate missing" error message appears

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC H-Class
• Sample Organizer
• Empower 3

CAUSE

The user is loading the plate into position 2 by opening the door of the sample manager and placing it in there. They are not loading it via the sample organizer. 

FIX or WORKAROUND

Remove the plate from position 2 and load it through the sample organizer.
