Can the ACQUITY UPLC startup test solution kit (186006683) be used in place of the 700002669 kit? - WKB249120

ANSWER

Yes. For several years we have offered both test solution kits with the ACQUITY System startup kits. As newer systems are released, we switched over to the 186006683, which includes a six-component gradient mix. This was done because at least one country has banned the import of one of its components. In countries where propiophenone is not an issue, such as the United States, it is acceptable to use either test solution. Either route is perfectly acceptable because the six components more than adequately demonstrate the ability of our systems to run reproducible gradients.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

If you want to remove the seventh component from the report, The propiophenone must be removed from the component tab within the processing method before you run the test. Highlight propiophenone in the component list and delete it. Retention times for the remaining components can be adjusted slightly if necessary.
