SYMPTOMS
- Running PATROL with 4-20 or OPC Communication issues when it is not working

CAUSE
Communications with PATROL are not working for 4-20 (analog) and/or OPC (digital) Control is not working. The cause may be multiple issues. The attached log can aid in determining what the issue is.
FIX or WORKAROUND

Open the log file that will give you info on OPC and 4-20 issues.

The directory is \Empower\Instruments\Instruments\Log\PatMessages.

An example of the log file is attached. The top shows an error while the bottom shows proper working using 4-20 or OPC. This also shows proper results that were calculated. The log file does not refresh until you close and reopen it.
