"Setup Failed" message in Empower message center - WKB24067

SYMPTOMS
- "Setup Failed" entry in Empower 3 message center
- Cannot monitor baseline
- On the Node properties Instruments tab, all instruments say OK? - YES, except for the module that has setup failed error
- Run Samples and Empower 3 message center show instrument failure
ENVIRONMENT
- Empower 3
- 2414 Refractive Index Detector running via IEEE cable in 410 Emulation mode
- All Waters IEEE devices
CAUSE
Bad IEEE cable
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Replace or clean and reseat the IEEE cable.
- Do a full reboot of the system and the PC, in the proper order.
