ENVIRONMENT

• Empower, IEEE-controlled, RS-232-controlled, and ethernet-controlled instruments

ANSWER

Turn on devices in the following order:

1. IEEE instruments
2. RS-232 instruments
3. Empower acquisition computer or LAC/E³² (Allow it to launch completely to the Windows desktop before the next step.)
4. Ethernet instruments starting with the instrument that has the multiple network switch ports in the back.
