Poor area reproducibility on Arc HPLC - WKB240418

SYMPTOMS

• Sample areas/height inconsistent
• Test shows the sample amount drawn by injector varies

ENVIRONMENT

• Arc HPLC

CAUSE

Air in the syringe

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Prime the syringe.
2. Clear any air bubbles by tapping on the syringe barrel on the upstroke during priming.
3. If possible, perform the sample syringe leak test to demonstrate sampling components are leak-free.
