Low signal from injections with ACQUITY SM-FTN - WKB237523

SYMPTOMS

• Much lower than expected signal from injected samples

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC Sample Manager - Flow Through Needle PLUS (SM-FTN PLUS)

CAUSE

The needle and seal holder tubing are connected to the wrong ports on the injection valve, so no sample is being drawn up by the needle.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Ensure that the seal holder tube is connected to port 1 and the FTN needle is connected to port 4 of the injection valve.
