Article number: 237429

SYMPTOMS

  • Leak observed where the seal wash tubing attaches to the seal wash housing

ENVIRONMENT

  • ACQUITY UPLC BSM
  • ACQUITY UPLC H-Class Quaternary Solvent Manager (QSM)
  • ACQUITY UPLC I-Class Binary Solvent Manager

CAUSE

Seal wash tubing is damaged/crimped or loose.

FIX or WORKAROUND

  1. Remove the seal wash tubing from the seal wash housing. Use small, flat pliers to remove the tubing if not possible to get it out by hand.
  2. If the tubing is just loose and no visible damage then refit making sure the tubing pushes all the way in to the housing, it will feel like a click when fully in.
  3. If the tubing is long enough and only damaged on the end, cut the damaged part of the seal wash tubing and reseat the tubing.
  4. If the tubing is so damaged that it's not possible to remove the damaged part and reseat it, replace the tubing (700003751 - TUBING,3/16"OD X 1/16"ID,TYGON 2275,25").
