SYMPTOMS
- Seal wash tubing leaks in the seal wash port into the pump head during priming
- Cutting the tubing does not help
- Replacing seal wash seals does not help
- Resetting the head and plunger assembly does not help
ENVIRONMENT
- Alliance HPLC System

CAUSE
Head and plunger seal failure
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Rebuild the pump (PM Kit, Alliance Solvent Manager, part 700004073).
- Back-pressurize the seals.
- Perform the static leak test.
