SYMPTOMS

• SM-FTN leaks from port 5 on injection valve cartridge
• Visible leak even at low flow rates

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY H-Class
• ACQUITY UPLC I-Class
• ACQUITY UPLC Sample Manager - Flow Through Needle 
• ACQUITY UPLC H-Class PLUS Bio

CAUSE

The pump outlet tubing fitting into port 5 on the injection valve cartridge is damaged.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Replace the pump outlet tubing (part 430002473 for H-Class, 430002901 for I-Class).
2. Replace the injection pod if the connection is worn out (part 700006057 for I-Class, 700005236 for H-Class).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Put flow through the system and check for leaks.
