Cannot make an injection with ACQUITY H-Class and a 3465 ECD - WKB229813

SYMPTOMS

System stays in a pre-run state
Injection status: Waiting for Injection
System is able to Monitor and Inject immediately
FTN does not move to the vial location

ENVIRONMENT

ACQUITY Arc
ACQUITY UPLC H-Class

3465 Electrochemical Detector

CAUSE

The 3465 is listed first in the System Configuration in Empower. The 3465 must be listed after the injector, or last in the system configuration.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Highlight the system in the Component Manager.
Right-click and take the system offline in Empower.
Highlight the system again and select "System Properties".
Select the "Configuration" tab.
Remove the 3465 (listed as Agilent LC) from the configuration.
Select OK.
Go back into "System Properties" and add the 3465 (listed as Agilent LC) back to the system configuration.
Select OK.
With the system highlighted, right-click and select "Bring System Online".

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This could also happen on other inlets, so it is best to list the 3465 last in the system configuration.
