Sample vial is lifted from plate position during injection on ACQUITY UPLC - WKB223935

SYMPTOMS

• During an injection, the sample vials are lifted from their plate positions by the needle
• "Z-axis h/w lost steps" or "Z-axis move h/w fault" error

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC H-Class
• ACQUITY UPLC I-Class
• ACQUITY UPLC Sample Manager 
• ACQUITY UPLC Sample Manager - Flow Through Needle PLUS (SM-FTN PLUS)

CAUSE

Bent needle

FIX or WORKAROUND

Replace the needle.
