2777 needle penetration is too deep - WKB21430

SYMPTOMS

  • During injection, the needle hits the bottom of the injection valve and may or maynot damage the needle (holding loop)

CAUSE

The needle penetration setting is too deep.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Set the needle penetration using the following procedure:

  1. Press F1(Menu).
  2. Scroll to the bottom and you will see ‘Utility’ –F3, Enter.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and you will see ‘Objects’ – F3, Enter.
  4. Select 'Move to injector'. The arm will move to LCVLV-1.
  5. Select the center button. The needle will penetrate the needle guide and hit the bottom of the injection valve.
  6. Scroll counterclockwise 0.2 mm to move up the needle.
  7. Select Home. The arm will reset to home position.
  8. Repeat steps 1 through 4.
  9. Select the center button. The needle will penetrate the needle guide. If it hits the bottom of the injection valve proceed to step 6. If the needle doesn't hit the bottom of the injection valve, proceed to step 10.
  10. Scroll clockwise 0.1 mm step by step until the needle hits the bottom of the Injection valve, and then scroll counterclockwise 0.1 mm.
  11. Select Home. The arm will reset to home position.
  12. Check the needle penetration again following steps 1 through 4.
  13. Select the center button. The needle will penetrate the needle guide but not hit the bottom of the injection valve.
  14. Select Home.
  15. Finish.

Replace the needle/ holding loop if damaged
