How does the ABPR diagnostic confirm the integrity and readiness of the ACQUITY UPC2 System fluidics? - WKB21193
Article number: 21193
ENVIRONMENT
- ACQUITY UPC2 System
- ACQUITY UPC2 Binary Solvent Manager (ccBSM)
- ACQUITY UPC2 Convergence Manager (cCM)
ANSWER
ABPR (Active Back Pressure Regulator) diagnostic is performed to confirm the integrity and readiness of the system fluidics.
- ABPR Minimum Pressure Test is 900-1,400 psi (ideally 1,000-1,100 psi).
- The 0% (static) portion of the test tells you if your static cartridge is functioning properly.
- Pressure must be above 1000 psi, preferably above 1100 psi, when running at 1 mL/min CO2.
- ABPR Power Test is 3,000 - 5,000 psi (ideally ~4,500 psi).
- The 45% (dynamic) power test is the true leak test.
- The system must be able to maintain a pressure above 3000 psi for two minutes when at 45% power (ideally, this value should be about 4500 psi).
