SYMPTOMS

• Wavy baseline with certain instruments
• Until now, no problem appeared as long as the analysis was performed under the same conditions.
• Symptoms appear at specific times during gradient analysis
• Baseline stabilizes when the flow rate is decreased

CAUSE

Deterioration of pump consumables

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Perform a pressure monitoring.
2. A slight increase in pressure fluctuations can affect the baseline.
3. If the pressure fluctuation is large, perform replacement using the pump PM kit.
