When using the Agilent PreConfiguration utility, adding the headspace results in "Error 14: Required license key not given" - WKB205123

SYMPTOMS

• Error 14: Required license key not given
• Sufficient GC and system control licenses are installed

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3
• Agilent Instrument Control Framework
• Agilent GC
• Agilent Headspace

CAUSE

The Agilent PreConfiguration utility is used to add a headspace prior to adding the GC. When selecting the "Upload Configuration" button for the headspace, the error " 14: Required license key not given" appears.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Add the GC first, then the headspace, in the Agilent PreConfiguration utility.
