Replace the nebulizer on a 2424 detector

ENVIRONMENT

• 2424 Evaporative Light Scattering Detector

PROCEDURE

•  Disassemble the nebulizer

1. Turn off the liquid flow and gas flow
2. Turn off the detector, unplug the power cord, and open the front panel
3. Wait for the nebulizer to cool down completely (if applicable).
4. Remove the inlet tubing of the detector.
5. Press the quick-disconnect fitting and pull out the gas inlet tubing.
6. Rotate the nebulizer counterclockwise so that the quick-disconnect fitting faces directly upwards.
7. Pull out the nebulizer horizontally.

• Install the nebulizer

1. Align the groove on the nebulizer with the pin in the desolvation compartment and push the nebulizer in.
2. Rotate the nebulizer clockwise until the quick-disconnect fitting is horizontally positioned.
3. Insert the gas inlet tubing.
4. Connect the inlet tubing of the detector.
5. Close the front panel and plug in the power cord.
